Grades 6-12: Are you a teen artist looking to learn a new aesthetic or medium? Join us for Art Lab to learn some new techniques!

Participants will observe the phases of the moon with telescope images provided by the Fort Wayne Astronomical Society. If weather permits, volunteers from FWAS may set up a telescope to observe the moon directly. Teens will then carve linoleum moon stamps and print their own posters.

This program is intended for teens. Register for all programs on our Events page, on the ACPL mobile app, or by calling the branch. In an effort to be courteous to our presenters, audience members, and waitlisted registrants:

  • Register all attendees
  • Please arrive prior to the program's start time; registering for a program will not hold your seat after the program's designated start time
  • If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration online or by calling the branch at 260-421-1330

About the library

Situated on the edge of a busy city neighborhood and within easy driving distance of farms and country-dwellers, Hessen Cassel Branch has been a lifeline for the community since its doors opened in 1972. The library serves as a meeting place for customers of all ages, and is heavily used after school. Hessen Cassel Branch intentionally supports the developmental needs of customers of all ages. From wooden blocks, puppets, and play clothes for children; to classes on art techniques, budgeting, and Allen County history; to an ever-changing collection of print, AV, and electronic materials; we serve a dynamic neighborhood that is rich in cultural and ethnic diversity.
