From the comfort of your home, join Windy City Camerata for an afternoon of nineteenth-century chamber music on historical instruments. Our program: "Classical Kammermusik: indulging in fantasy and conversation" explores the rich tradition of social interplay in the works of F.X. Mozart, Pleyel, and Haydn. Chamber music, "the music of friends," is intimate in nature, with one performer to a part. Each musician, like characters in a novel, brings something different to the conversation whether it be deception, seduction, or even surprise. The music was written in a way that together, the parts hold a musical conversation complete with discussing, arguing, restating, debating, etc. Click the YouTube link below on April 18th at 2pm for this musical delight. No registration necessary.
