A presentation by Dr. Clifford Buttram, Jr, Assistant Professor of Management and Director of the MBA and MOL Programs, University of Saint Francis-Fort Wayne

Since 1989, the world has steadily moved to a more economically inclusive global collaborative and cooperative nation-state platform. The interconnectivity of this economy greatly reduced the threat of global armed conflict as seen in WWI and WWII.  Now, because of concerns such as the spread of COVID-19 and the loss of economic sovereignty, trade is restricted and borders are closing.  What will the global economy look like in the future? Will the current economic superpowers of the United States and China retain their advantages? Are there countries in the waiting who can fill the void? In this lecture, attendees will learn how the global economy currently works and how it may soon fundamentally change.
