Play Dungeons and Dragons online via Zoom web conference.
Virtual Dungeons and Dragons is an online program where teens play Dungeons and Dragons online using Zoom web conferencing software. Two librarians (Marie and Josh) will be conducting the event.
We will be using the fifth edition version of D&D. Show up to the session with your own first level character, or we can walk you through the process.
Given that this is an online-only program, each individual will be assumed to have access to the rule set and a set of dice at their home. A link will be posted to the pdf of the free open content version of the game if participants do not have a copy of the game themselves, and for those who do not have dice, we can point you to an online dice roller. Each participant will also need to have access to a webcam and microphone and have internet access on a computer that can run the Zoom web conferencing software.
This game is only open to individuals between the ages of 11 and 19. No prior experience necessary.
Registrants must sign up with a valid email address; kids age 11 or 12 or teens who do not have an email account please ask your parent or guardian to register you and help you sign in. Members of the same household who share an email address only need to register one participant. Registrants will be sent an access link half an hour before the start of the program.
In an effort to be courteous to our presenters, audience members, and wait-listed registrants:
Please arrive promptly at the program’s start time.
If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration online.
