"Poetry Not Poison: Becoming the Poet You've Always Wanted to Be." The Poet Laureate of Indiana from 2014-2016, George Kalamaras, will be at the main location of the Allen County Public Library.
Celebrate National Poetry Month by writing your own poetry! Former Indiana Poet Laureate, George Kalamaras, will lead a poetry writing workshop to help you find your poetic voice. Dr. Kalamaras is a celebrated poet and a professor at Purdue Fort Wayne. This workshop is part of the ACPL Writers' Series.
The Main Library includes six public meeting rooms, a theater, art gallery, underground parking garage, the Genealogy Center, and the Rolland Center for Lincoln Research. Parking at the main library is free if you have a valid library card. If you do not have a library card, parking costs $1/hour with a maximum charge of $7 for the day. Parking tickets must be taken inside the main library for validation and/or payment.
