Chess has been shown to increase problem-solving skills, improve spatial skills, enhance memory skills, reinforce concentration skills, AND it's fun! Children in preschool through those entering grade 5 - and who already know how to play chess - are invited to sign up for the all day, "just for fun" Chess Tournament at the Main Library of the Allen County Public Library. The tournament will be held on August 1, 2020. Pre-registration is requested. Registration forms will be available at all library branches by May 1. For more information or to register for this Chess Tournament, call Children's Services at 260.421.1220.
