Enhance your reading sessions at this first out of six series: Making Connections. Come discover the way to help your child understand what they read.
Parents: Are you looking for ways to help your child learn to read? Are you mystified by the terms teachers use, like “comprehension”, “fluency” and “phonics”? Lisa Deck, licensed teacher with 25 years teaching experience and specializing in reading intervention, will model how to use this reading strategy. Then we’ll practice together! Bring your child and your sense of humor and be ready for a fun evening of learning together.
Lisa Deck coaches families on how to go from the mundane to more productive and engaging reading sessions. She lives in Fort Wayne, Indiana with her husband, fourteen year old son, and two cats, Opal and Alfieri. Her favorite activities are reading, kayaking, yoga and adventures.
