Explore the use of the FindMyPast database!
Presenter John Beatty will explore the use of Find My Past, a major website for researching Irish and British genealogy. We will look at some of the major components of the database, including the myriad of British census and parish register information, as well as some unique images of Irish sources, both newspapers and manuscripts. We will also explore use of the Periodical Source Index, which is part of this database. Part of Digital Daze.
The Main Library includes six public meeting rooms, a theater, art gallery, underground parking garage, the Genealogy Center, and the Rolland Center for Lincoln Research. Parking at the main library is free if you have a valid library card. If you do not have a library card, parking costs $1/hour with a maximum charge of $7 for the day. Parking tickets must be taken inside the main library for validation and/or payment.
