What makes you, YOU? Through engaging, hands-on exploration, discover how food becomes our body’s fuel, where oxygen goes when we breathe it, and how our brains interpret the world.

How do your body’s systems work together to make you, you? How are humans alike, and what makes you an individual? Join us as we learn about the human body in this four-session program, presented by Science Central.

Session 1: Your Power Plant

How does your digestive system power your body?

Session 2: Your Delivery System

How does your circulatory system deliver oxygen and nutrients to keep your body running?

Session 3: Your Command Center

How does your brain help you make sense of your experiences?

Session 4: Your Blueprint

How do your DNA and your environment interact to make you an individual?

SPARK Summer Learning is generously supported by the Foellinger Foundation, Friends of the Allen County Public Library, and the Allen County Public Library Foundation.

Participants should plan to attend the entire series.  Space is limited, so please register for all programs online, on the ACPL mobile app, or by calling any library location. Registration opens 2 weeks prior to each event. Please call your local branch for group/guest registrations larger than five people.
