T'ai Chi is a mind-body practice that originated in China as a martial art and has value in treating or preventing several medical conditions including: arthritis, low bone density, heart disease, hypertension, sleep problems, and Fibromyalgia. Read more about the benefits of T'ai Chi at your local library and sign up for free classes offered at the Main Library. We are excited to host Liz Monnier of the Fort Wayne Dance Collective who will lead these all-level classes. With its low-impact, slow-motion exercises, T'ai Chi can be easily adapted for anyone at any skill level.
The Main Library includes six public meeting rooms, a theater, art gallery, underground parking garage, the Genealogy Center, and the Rolland Center for Lincoln Research. Parking at the main library is free if you have a valid library card. If you do not have a library card, parking costs $1/hour with a maximum charge of $7 for the day. Parking tickets must be taken inside the main library for validation and/or payment.
