As part of the Cherry Blossom Festival, the Children's Services department will be offering traditional kamishibai storytelling near the Reading Tower at 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, 3:30 and 4:30. Kids of all ages and their families are invited to enjoy this "paper theater" style of storytelling. Space may be limited, so please register for all programs online, on the ACPL mobile app, or by calling any library location. Please call your local branch for group/guest registrations larger than five people.
The Main Library includes six public meeting rooms, a theater, art gallery, underground parking garage, the Genealogy Center, and the Rolland Center for Lincoln Research. Parking at the main library is free if you have a valid library card. If you do not have a library card, parking costs $1/hour with a maximum charge of $7 for the day. Parking tickets must be taken inside the main library for validation and/or payment.
