Learn the basics of 3D model designing, and Prusa Slicer software in order to create a 3D printed snowman figurine!
Do you wanna build a snowman? In this beginner-friendly program, you'll learn how to use Prusa Slicer Software, TinkerCAD, and the 3D Printers in the Studio at Pontiac to create a snowman figurine! Learn how to design a 3D model in TinkerCAD with us, and once your design is complete, we'll guide you through the preparation process in the slicer software for 3D printing. After the program, you'll be able to return to the library to pick up your finished 3D print. Familiarity with computers is highly recommended for attendees of this program. Program is limited to 10 participants.
This program was designed for 2nd grade and up, but younger children may attend if an adult/guardian/caregiver is present to assist them throughout the program. Each child in sixth grade or younger attending the program must be directly supervised and assisted by a responsible caregiver while in the Studio. Most ACPL programs welcome guests, however the Studio programs can only accommodate registered patrons and their supervising caregivers.

Pontiac Branch shares a campus with the Fort Wayne Urban League and Brightpoint’s Hanna Creighton Head Start. It has a 2 story playscape for children and artwork on the pillars by Theoplis Smith. Don’t miss the stained glass window that was designed by William L. Lupkin Designs and donated by the building’s architect, Alan R.Grinsfelder. The Pontiac Branch is a community destination for neighborhood kids, organizations & clubs, and those in need of computer access.
