Grades 7-12: In this Black History Month program, we will learn about the history of bottle trees in African-American folklore and make a miniature bottle tree to keep.
From real-life gardens to the Tristan Strong books, bottle trees have long been a part of African-American culture. We'll create miniatures using wire, tiny bottles, and other craft supplies.
This program is intended for teens. Space is limited: register in advance to reserve your spot and receive reminders. Registration will guarantee your seat until the event begins. Accessibility needs? Please contact ask@acpl.info as soon as possible - we’d love to help.
