Get a taste of 3D printing by making your own mini Jack-O'-Lantern! Come to the Studio at Pontiac to learn about designing 3D Models on TinkerCAD Software, using 3D Slicer Software, and printing on a 3D printer. Participants will create a custom Jack-O'-Lantern online in TinkerCAD, and the be able to print it out on the Studio's 3D printer. Each Jack-O'-Lantern will also have a battery-operated tea light that will be inserted into the project after printing. Familiarity with computers is highly recommended. Limited to 9 participants.
This program was designed for 2nd grade and up, but younger children may attend if an adult/guardian/caregiver is present to assist them throughout the program. Each child in sixth grade or younger attending the program must be directly supervised and assisted by a responsible caregiver while in the Studio. Most ACPL programs welcome guests, however the Studio programs can only accommodate registered patrons and their supervising caregivers.
