Home in a Bottle

Sand Jar Art

Grades 7-12: Create a beautiful, layered sand art in a bottle that represents you and/or your home to wear or use as a decoration!

We’ll explore how the Earth tells its story through the layers found in rocks and sediment, and then connect that idea to the layers that make us who we are. Then you’ll get creative by making your own layered sand art in a bottle that represents your experiences, memories, and where you’ve come from. It’s hands-on, personal, and fun, and all supplies are provided!
