Discover practical strategies for finding your 19th–20th century immigrant ancestors in U.S. records. In this session, we’ll cover which records matter most, where to find them (online and in archives), and how to connect your relatives back to their country of origin.

Matthew Rhodes was born and raised in New Jersey to an Italian American mother and Irish American father, with both heritages shaping his early life and sparking his interest in the ancestors who immigrated to the United States. He is currently the lead genealogy manager at an Italian dual-citizenship company, where he oversees and conducts research for clients, determines their eligibility, and obtains the records needed for their cases. Matthew's professional education includes the Boston University Genealogical Certificate Course, ProGen and additional institute courses and webinars through GRIP and other organizations.
