Hair Me Out is an empowering all-ages library program that celebrates the beauty, versatility, and cultural significance of Black hair. Through fun, inclusive, and educational activities, we’ll explore the history and creativity behind various hair textures, styles, and traditions—from braids and locs to afros and twists.
Learn about the CROWN Act and the importance of celebrating the differences of all people. Then, create 3D piece of art using several options of bald beauties on pre-stenciled canvases to customize and style. Ribbons, bows, yarn, paint, synthetic hair, and more will be provided to make the canvases *POP*.
