Come explore the universe around you through crafts. Paint your way around stars, make your own constellation, and so much more as you learn about what lies beyond planet Earth.

In Crafting the Cosmos, attendees will learn about the universe and various astronomical objects in it such as the planets, constellations, and the galaxy through arts and crafts. Topics and crafts include Planets – foil painting planets, Constellations – make your own constellation, Galaxy – coffee filter galaxy painting, Moon – paint the moon phases, Eclipse – eclipse chalk drawing. All supplies provided.

Limited to 12 participants. Space is limited; register in advance to reserve your spot and receive reminders. Registration will guarantee your seat until the event begins. Accessibility needs? Please contact ask@acpl.info as soon as possible - we’d love to help.

About the library

The Woodburn branch is located across the street from a John Deere store, within easy walking distance of the Lutheran Elementary school and the park. The library’s unique hours are specialized to best serve the surrounding town and country-dwellers.
