Join us for another STEM Challenge where attendees will use Strawbees to build a truss bridge.
Join us for an exciting session of STEM Challenge where the beloved fairytale "The Three Billy Goats" meets engineering skills! Participants will be tasked with designing and building a bridge long enough to cross the moat and keep the goats safe from the sleeping troll.
Using Strawbees—a unique construction set made from recyclable materials and paper straws—participants will construct their bridges, putting their creativity and engineering skills to the test.
Get ready to build and innovate while enjoying a classic story! This program is intended for children in 3rd-6th grade. Younger attendees are welcome to join us but may struggle with Strawbees. Alternative building materials will be available for these younger participants.
Space is limited; register in advance to reserve your spot and receive reminders. Registration will guarantee your seat until the event begins. Accessibility needs? Please contact ask@acpl.info as soon as possible - we’d love to help.
