We will go over the basics of 3D printing using Prusa Printers, and take you from digital design in TinkerCAD to a finished printed project.
Come to the Studio at Pontiac to learn about designing 3D Models on TinkerCAD Software, using 3D Slicer Software, and printing on a 3D printer. Participants can select a floral, leaf or seasonal image to create their own custom Springtime Coaster in TinkerCAD. They will be able to print it out on the Studio's 3D printer. All supplies provided. Familiarity with computers is highly recommended. Limited to 9 participants.
This program was designed for kindergarten and up, but younger children may attend if an adult is present to assist them. Children in sixth grade or younger must be directly supervised by a responsible parent, guardian, or caregiver while in the Studio. Supervising adults do not need to register for the program.

Pontiac Branch shares a campus with the Fort Wayne Urban League and Brightpoint’s Hanna Creighton Head Start. It has a 2 story playscape for children and artwork on the pillars by Theoplis Smith. Don’t miss the stained glass window that was designed by William L. Lupkin Designs and donated by the building’s architect, Alan R.Grinsfelder. The Pontiac Branch is a community destination for neighborhood kids, organizations & clubs, and those in need of computer access.
