Practice your powers of imagination and expression while we explore poetry by Arab-American poet Naomi Shihab Nye.

Poet Naomi Shihab Nye has written many poems for children. We will listen to several of her poems and we will write and share our own.

About the library

The Main Library includes six public meeting rooms, a theater, art gallery, underground parking garage, the Genealogy Center, and the Rolland Center for Lincoln Research. Parking at the main library is free if you have a valid library card. If you do not have a library card, parking costs $1/hour with a maximum charge of $7 for the day. Parking tickets must be taken inside the main library for validation and/or payment.
