Participants will learn about some of the important contributions women have made to the study of space, then “launch” paper rockets.
Women from many walks of life have made important contributions to the study of space. Learn about some of them as we construct mini paper rockets and “launch” them! Discover how the design of a rocket affects how it flies.

Pontiac Branch shares a campus with the Fort Wayne Urban League and Brightpoint’s Hanna Creighton Head Start. It has a 2 story playscape for children and artwork on the pillars by Theoplis Smith. Don’t miss the stained glass window that was designed by William L. Lupkin Designs and donated by the building’s architect, Alan R.Grinsfelder. The Pontiac Branch is a community destination for neighborhood kids, organizations & clubs, and those in need of computer access.
