Come see artifacts from the 1864 presidential election in the Rolland Center for Lincoln Research on the first floor of the Allen County Public Library’s Main downtown location! Read Democratic and Republican soldiers’ letters supporting their favored candidate—President Abraham Lincoln or General George McClellan. Enjoy election tickets and song sheets from both sides of the aisle. The exhibit is available for viewing from September 4, 2024, through December 3, 2024.

The Main Library includes six public meeting rooms, a theater, art gallery, underground parking garage, the Genealogy Center, and the Rolland Center for Lincoln Research. Parking at the main library is free if you have a valid library card. If you do not have a library card, parking costs $1/hour with a maximum charge of $7 for the day. Parking tickets must be taken inside the main library for validation and/or payment.
