Learn how combining two research methods broke through a 50-year-old brick wall and connected an immigrant ancestor to his homeland.

Alicia Lowry runs Embracing Your Branches, LLC. She is a self-taught family history researcher with a passion for tackling challenging cases, especially those involving unknown parentage and adoption research using DNA match clustering. Alicia’s interest in genealogy began in 2012 when she started building a family tree for her son. After encountering some obstacles in her own research, she turned to DNA for answers and was amazed by its revelations.

A year ago, Alicia decided to transform her love for genealogy into a business after helping a close friend find her biological family from a closed adoption. That experience demonstrated to her how fulfilling it is to assist others in uncovering elusive family connections. At Embracing Your Branches, Alicia's goal is to guide people through the complexities of their family history and help them discover the stories they never thought they could find.
