Grades 7-12: Explore contemporary Native American art through the Fort Wayne Museum of Art's Gallery on Wheels Collection.
Contemporary Native American artists often blend traditional arts, media types, and pop culture to portray their lives. View past and present depictions of and by Native Americans to explore how their art embraces new mediums, breathing life into their history. After exploring their art, create your own narrative artwork inspired by artists such as Wendy Red Star and Duane Slick.
Space is limited; register in advance to reserve your spot and receive reminders. Registration will guarantee your seat until the event begins. Accessibility needs? Please contact ask@acpl.info as soon as possible - we’d love to help.
