Meet artist Katrina Mitten and learn about Myaamia (Miami) culture while creating beaded corn jewelry. All supplies and instruction will be provided. For teens and adults. Registration required.
Katrina Mitten is a citizen of the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma, an award winning artist--beading for over 45 years. Katrina has practiced traditional Great Lakes embroidery style native beadwork through study of family heirlooms, museum collections and practice. The imagery she creates is inspired by the world around her. Her works have been acquired by the Miami Tribe, national museums and private collectors.

The Main Library includes six public meeting rooms, a theater, art gallery, underground parking garage, the Genealogy Center, and the Rolland Center for Lincoln Research. Parking at the main library is free if you have a valid library card. If you do not have a library card, parking costs $1/hour with a maximum charge of $7 for the day. Parking tickets must be taken inside the main library for validation and/or payment.
