Experience the world of VR with a Halloween twist!
Come in and experience virtual reality at your local library! Using Virtual Reality headsets patrons will learn all about this exciting new technology, and then experience it by journeying into VR themselves. Brave Participants will navigate spooky Halloween-scapes with a library guide. Using a headset and a controller, brave participants can explore a haunted house and go on a haunted hayride filled with all things Halloween including ghosts, giant spiders and creepy eyeballs. Limited to 15 participants.
This program was designed for 2nd grade and up, but younger children may attend if an adult is present to assist them. Children in sixth grade or younger must be directly supervised by a responsible parent, guardian, or caregiver while in the Maker Lab. Supervising adults do not need to register for the program.
Space is limited: Register in advance to reserve your spot and receive reminders. Registration will guarantee your seat until the event begins.

The Main Library includes six public meeting rooms, a theater, art gallery, underground parking garage, the Genealogy Center, and the Rolland Center for Lincoln Research. Parking at the main library is free if you have a valid library card. If you do not have a library card, parking costs $1/hour with a maximum charge of $7 for the day. Parking tickets must be taken inside the main library for validation and/or payment.
