The Shawnee branch now has a Maker Lab available for patrons!
The following machines are available for personal projects: Cricut Maker 3, Cricut Autopress, Cricut Brightpad, Prusa Mk4 3D Printer, Laminator, Button Maker, and Janome Sewing Machine. One library laptop is available with Cricut Design Space and Prusa Slicer, but you are free to bring your own device as well. If you are using a library computer, please bring a personal data storage device to save your work. Lab Hours are intended for elementary ages, teens, and adults. Children in sixth grade or younger must be directly supervised by a responsible parent, guardian, or caregiver while in the Maker Lab.
Labs have some materials available for purchase for projects, but we highly recommend bringing your own materials for your projects (vinyl, cardstock, blanks, fabric, thread, etc.). 3D printers can only print using the filament provided by the library.
- No registration required. Machines are first-come, first-served.
- All minors (17 and under) who would like to use the ACPL Maker Labs must have a participation release signed by a parent/guardian on file.
- Accessibility needs? Please contact ask@acpl.info as soon as possible - we’d love to help.
