Create an imaginative zoo exhibits and then use the line following Ozobots to navigate your zoo and visit animals.
The Ozobot Evo is a line-following mini robot that you can program in one of two ways: 1)by using colored markers, or 2) by utilizing block coding from a computer.
In this program you will be introduced to the hardware and robotic components of the Ozobot Evo. You will learn the basics of operating the Ozobot Evo including turning it on/off, and calibrating it, and then venture into using color codes to program your robot. We will then create an imaginative zoo exhibit and then use the line following Ozobots to navigate your zoo and visit animals. Program limited to 8 participants.
This program was designed for 2nd grade through 8th grade, but younger children may attend if an adult is present to assist them. Children in sixth grade or younger must be directly supervised by a responsible parent, guardian, or caregiver while in the Maker Lab. Supervising adults do not need to register for the program.
Space is limited: register in advance to reserve your spot and receive reminders. Registration will guarantee your seat until the event begins.
